Cultural Industries Ontario North (CION) is excited to announce a mentorship programthat pairs four (4) Northern Ontario-based musicians with acclaimed Canadian songwriters who will work together to develop and record a brand-new, original single.
A common roadblock for most rising songwriters is access to studio time and equipment, the costs of which can hinder learning experiences and prevent the execution of creative visions that are itching to be heard. The Northern Ontario Songwriting Experience (NOSE)provides regional musicians with adirect pathway to a recording session, while connecting them with local engineers and acclaimed talent who can help refine their songwriting and production chops.
NOSE will run (no pun intended) from February 2025 to April 2025 and offer up to 6 hours of one-on-one mentorships, as well as studio time toward the end of the program.
Export-ready musicians from Northern Ontario are encouraged to apply for this opportunity before Friday, January 31, 2025.
Meet the Mentors!
